Cameron Hunter

Policy Advisor

Cameron Hunter is a Policy Advisor with IISD’s Resilience Program. Their work with communities and governments in both Canada and developing countries focuses on climate change adaptation, gender equality, and social inclusion. This includes bringing together data, policy, and local experiences to support more inclusive and effective approaches to adaptation.

Cameron’s recent work includes the development of tools and guidance for municipalities in Canada to advance adaptation in their communities and exploring the gender and equity considerations in National Adaptation Plan (NAP) processes through the NAP Global Network.

Cameron holds a Master of Science from the University of British Columbia in geography and a Bachelors of Science (Hons.) from the University of Winnipeg. His research interests include exploring and understanding spatial patterns of climate, data visualization, and how communities can better prepare for the impacts of climate change.
