The Engineering and Construction Insurance by Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty provides protection against construction and engineering risks in diverse infrastructure sectors. The following risk categories are covered by this insurance:
- Business interruption, delay in startup and advance loss of profits
- Construction and erection risks
- Contractors´ plant and equipment interruption
- Interruption risk of electronic equipment and software
- Machinery breakdown
- Shipment risks/engineering project cargo
Eligible projects and transactions
The Engineering and Construction Insurance is applicable to diverse infrastructure sectors, including power and utilities, oil and gas, major heavy civil engineering projects and transportation systems.
