Atradius N.V. is a private company owned by Grupo Catalana Occidente, S.A. and Grupo Compañía Espanõla de Crédito y Caución, S.L. The company is mandated by the Dutch Government to act as the official export credit agency of the Netherlands. Atradius offers a range of trade credit insurance, surety and debt collection products.

The Single Contract Cover (SCC) provides Dutch exporters with insurance against commercial and political risks that prevent the fulfilment of the insured contract. The SCC is available to cover both the costs incurred due to disruptions prior to shipment of goods as well as credit risks following the delivery or completion of works.

The SCC can also be combined with cover against the unfair calling of bonds and guarantees as well as with fair calling of bonds due to political risks.

Atradius uses its bespoke political risk rating system Sovereign Transfer and Arbitrary Risk (STAR). Cover is not offered to countries with high-risk profiles.

The following countries are currently excluded: Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Mali, North Korea, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, Yemen and Zimbabwe

• Size of coverage: Up to 90 per cent indemnification for private buyers, 95 per cent for public buyers.
• Tenor of coverage: A project length of up to 7 years can be insured.
