Bulgarian Export Insurance Agency

The Bulgarian Export Insurance Agency offers Investment Risk Guarantees. Investment risks covered by the guarantee instruments are political risks that interfere with the realization of Bulgarian investment abroad. Political risks covered include:

• Currency inconvertibility and transfer restrictions,
• Nationalization, confiscation or expropriation of a foreign company,
• Politically motivated acts of violence including war, revolution, terrorist attacks, sabotage, insurrection, revolt and civil disobedience.

Projects must be sourced from a Bulgarian company.

Guarantees are offered on a case-by-case basis. Each eligible region is assessed with specific risk assessment .
