Euler Hermes is a credit insurance company and subsidiary of Allianz SE. The Transactional Cover Solutions comprise various tailor-made insurance options that can address the risks of three client groups:

• Financial institutions that offer trade and export finance
• Corporate entities that seek to invest into assets overseas
• Multinational companies that seek insurance for import or export transactions

The Transactional Cover Solutions are providing protection against a range of default risks, such as contract interruption, non-payment, or confiscation with political violence. Customization is possible by allowing the policyholder to choose between insurance coverage against one or multiple type of risks. The policyholder can also decide whether a single or a range of buyers should be covered.

Among others, the Transactional Cover solutions can be used to protect capital goods and overseas assets of multinational companies as well as for protecting a buyer credit/commercial loan issued by a financial institution to finance large infrastructure projects.

The instrument can be applied worldwide in a single country or in multiple countries. An application is subject to risk evaluation/underwriting and acceptance.

• Size of coverage: Up to EUR 100 million; 100 per cent indemnity for confiscation, expropriation, nationalization.
• Tenor of coverage: Up to eight years; longer cover periods possible for specific transactions. Non-cancellable credit limits during the policy period.
