Insurance Policy for Romanian capital investment abroad
Instrument Description
The EximBank of Romania offers an insurance policy for Romanian capital investments abroad. This insurance policy covers the following foreign political risks faced by Romanian investors:
- “Transfer of amounts representing dividends
- Expropriation risks
- War and civil unrest
- Failure to observe agreements / cancellation of agreements by the host country government”
Eligible Projects and Transactions
Romanian investors implementing investment projects in countries without a high degree of political risk exposure.
Eligible Regions
The EximBank of Romania offers its services on a case-by-case basis.
Key Features
- Size of coverage: up to 90 per cent of the investment project value.
- Tenor of coverage: up to 15 years.
