FCIA Management Company, Inc. (FCIA) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Great American Insurance Company. FCIA offers export and domestic trade credit insurance and a wide variety of specialty trade credit and political risk products to support global trade and related financing activities.

The core coverage of FCIA’s Equity Investments policy includes confiscation, expropriation, or nationalization of an investment or asset by a foreign government. If this core coverage is desired, coverage for other perils can be added on top:

• “Selective Discrimination by a foreign government against operation
• Forced Abandonment of operation caused by war or political violence
• A foreign government act that prevents ability to import or export
• Currency inconvertibility
• Physical asset damage resulting from political violence. Political violence normally includes such risks as war, civil war, revolution and terrorism”

FCIA’s Equity Investments policies are available to experienced multinational companies and financial institutions with significant overseas investments and operations.

FCIA offers its services on a case-by-case basis.

• Size of coverage: policy limits of up to $25 million for any one risk
• Tenor of coverage:
  • Coverage periods up to seven years.
  • Non-cancellable limits during the policy period.
