Instrument Description
Liberty Special Markets offers global insurance protection to government agencies, international banks, multinational companies, global commodity companies, exporters and contractors.
The Financial Risk Solutions product covers the following risks:
- “Non-performance by private and public obligors
- Non-payment by private and public obligors
- Fair and unfair calling of contract bonds
- Political Risk for fixed and mobile assets”
Eligible Projects and Transactions
Liberty Special Markets has no set eligibility requirements, and projects are accepted on a case-by-case basis.
Eligible Regions
No restrictions: offers insurance protection worldwide.
Key Features
- Size of coverage: USD 100 million per risk
- Tenor of coverage:
- Political Risk: up to 15 years (any insured)
- Political Risk: up to 20 years (Public Agency business)
- Contract Frustration: 15 years (any insured)
- Contract Frustration: up to 20 years (Public Agency business)
- Trade Credit: 10 years
- Commercial Credit (non-trade): 10 years
- Project Finance: up to 15 years
