Foreign Investment Guarantee
Instrument Description
EKN is the Swedish National Export Credit Agency under the supervision of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. It is tasked with promoting the internationalization of Swedish companies.
Both investors and lenders of investment loans are eligible for the Foreign Investment Guarantee, which covers political risks associated with investments or investment loans abroad. Insured parties will be compensated if political events prevent the disposal of investments or the repayment of loans.
