IISD at Workshop to Advance the APEC Environmental Services Agenda: Enhancing APEC Economies’ Understanding of Environmental Services
IISD Senior Fellow Ron Steenblik recently presented at the "Workshop to Advance the APEC Environmental Services Agenda: Enhancing APEC Economies’ Understanding of Environmental Services", focusing on the contribution of services to tackling environmental problems.
The event, held on February 11, 2020, in Putrajaya, Malaysia, was organised by the Government of New Zealand under the auspices of the APEC Group on Services. APEC refers to Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, a forum bringing together 21 economies from the region and which covers a range of issues related to economic integration. Steenblik has also recently co-authored an IISD blog post on environmental services, environmental goods, eco-labelling, and fossil fuel subsidies in the context of the planned Agreement on Climate Change, Trade and Sustainability, which was written together with Susanne Droege of the German Institute for International and Security Affairs.
