Camellia Ibrahim holds a MA in geography from McGill University where her research focused on the political ecology of forest cover change and rural livelihoods in the Neotropics. She has previously worked for the Organization of American States and the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity. Born and raised in Kenya to Egyptian and US parents, she currently resides in a national park in Newfoundland where she works as a freelance consultant.
