Daniela Salazar Díaz
Project Assistant
Daniela Salazar Díaz is a Project Assistant with the Economic, Law, and Policy program at IISD. She specializes in climate action, sustainable resource management, and international cooperation, with a focus on developing strategies for anticipatory action and early warning systems.
With extensive experience in sustainable development and environmental protection, Daniela has worked across different sectors, including government agencies, semiprivate organizations, NGOs, and international organizations. Before joining IISD, she also worked with the IFRC’s Climate, Environment, Urban and Resilience Unit on Early Warning and Anticipatory Action-related communications, event management, and supported the coordination activities of Pillar 4 of the Early Warning for All initiative.
Daniela Salazar studied International Relations at the University of Rosario in Colombia. She holds two master’s degrees: one in International Cooperation and Development from the Institute of Political Studies of Bordeaux, and the other in Development Studies from the Geneva Graduate Institute
Daniela is based in Geneva, and is fluent in Spanish, English, and French.
