Climate Change Jobs Update Content Editor

Born and brought up in sunny Italy, Daniela spent her teenage time volunteering for various social and environmental bodies – including WWF, OXFAM, Legambiente, Greenpeace, Caritas and local hospitals. She graduated in Italy in Languages & Literature and Anthropology, subsequently specializing in development, humanitarian assistance and environmental protection, with two European Masters Degrees and various post-graduate courses from different international institutions and universities.

Since 1991, she performed field work within local and international NGOs, CBOs and grassroots organizations, as well as the UN (UNHCR, FAO, UNDP, UNV, UNFCCC, UNCCD) both in the framework of projects based in various continents – sometimes as a volunteer - and undertaking assignments in headquarters, which gave her the opportunity to participate in and contribute to different world conferences, starting with RIO 92 for which she supported the preparation of papers for Legambiente.

Humanitarian activity in conflict areas such as the Balkans, central Asia, West Africa, LAC region, has convinced her over the years that the protection of the environment is the most urgent and less considered emergency manhood has, and has devoted ever since her work to the cause of international environmental action, from working within intergovernmental bodies at negotiating tables, to campaigning through social networks and public events.
