Facundo Calvo

Policy Analyst, Trade and Agriculture

Facundo Calvo is a policy analyst (trade and agriculture) at the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) in Geneva, Switzerland. He writes regularly on trade policy and agriculture, World Trade Organization (WTO) agriculture negotiations, and sustainable trade in food and agriculture.

Prior to joining IISD, Facundo worked for the permanent mission of a developing country to the WTO. He was involved in the WTO agriculture negotiations at the WTO Committee on Agriculture in Special Session and the monitoring of agricultural policies at the WTO Committee on Agriculture.

Facundo holds a master of laws degree in international economic law and policy from the University of Barcelona and a master’s degree in international economic relations from the Latin American School of Social Sciences.
