Graeme Auld, originally from Vancouver, Canada, is an Assistant Professor in the School of Public Policy and Administration at Carleton University. He holds a Bachelor degree in Forest Resource Management (University of British Columbia), a Master of Science (Auburn University), and a Ph.D. in environmental governance (Yale University). For more than a decade he has studied the emergence, uptake, and consequences of social and environmental certification initiatives, particularly programs developed to assess responsible forest management practices. His recent work focuses on the spread of these initiatives in agriculture and fisheries sectors.
