Stephanie Cairns

Stephanie Cairns has a rich diversity of experience in advancing environmental issues in private sector, political, and NGO circles since 1983. Her focus is on the innovative “beyond compliance” aspects of public policy, such as ecological tax reform, private sector sustainability strategies, and applied management tools for eco-efficiency and pollution prevention.
Her clients include senior politicians, federal government agencies, industry associations, NGOs, and major corporations. She is currently Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS); Member, President's Advisory Council, Royal Society of Canada; a former Policy Advisor in the Prime Minister's Office, Canada, and a former member of the Panel on Ecological Integrity in Canada's National Parks. Stephanie has a Master’s of Science in cleaner production and corporate environmental management from Lund University, Sweden.
