Suprerana Chakraborty

Project Manager

Suprerana Chakraborty is a project manager for the International Institute for Sustainable Development’s Energy program. Based out of India, she supports the team’s work on energy initiatives in emerging economies.

Suprerana has extensive experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communication. She is deeply committed to sustainable development, gender empowerment, and fostering innovative approaches to address complex socio-economic issues. Her previous work includes collaborating with organizations such as NSRCEL at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and the Pratham Education Foundation, as well as subnational governments and national agencies.

She has also worked closely with donors and stakeholders such as Google and the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women initiative, which supports the growth of women entrepreneurs.

Suprerana holds a master’s degree in development studies from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Symbiosis International University.
