Valentina Romoli

Policy Advisor and Coordinator

Valentina Romoli is a policy advisor and coordinator for IISD. Based in Italy, she coordinates the institute’s engagement with international environmental and sustainable development negotiations, ensuring our global team of multidisciplinary experts speaks with one voice when advancing cutting edge solutions on the world stage.

Her passion for tackling shared global problems has led to past work experiences for the 28th UN Climate Change Conference (COP 28) UAE Presidency, the Green Climate Fund, the School of Advanced Studies Sant'Anna, the European External Action Service, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, among other positions.

She has a Master of Arts in Human Rights and Conflict Management (Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies), a master’s degree in international relations (Roma Tre University) and a bachelor's degree in international relations (La Sapienza University). She speaks Italian, English, French, and Spanish.
