IISD is assisting the Government of Pakistan in finalizing their efforts to prepare their Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDC) submission to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
This project seeks to bring the INDC development process to completion by building on the INDC Road Map submitted in March 2015, identifying and prioritizing greenhouse gas mitigation options for INDC inclusion from key sectors, providing guidance on financing for INDC options, and supporting stakeholder consultations through the INDC development phase. The set of activities is being conducted by a consortium of partners, led by LEAD Pakistan and IISD.
The final product of this work will be a completed INDC submission for key sectors for the Government of Pakistan, built on original emission baselines and analysis of the energy sector, and incorporating INDC work of the World Bank in Pakistan on Transport, Adaptation and Capacity.
