IISD works with the Bureau Opérationnel de Suivi (BOS) of the Senegalese Government to use SAVi on the Taïba Ndiaye wind farm project and the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project, a sustainable mobility project for the city of Dakar. IISD presented the results of the SAVi assessments during a workshop in Dakar in June. The Conseil Exécutif des Transports Urbains de Dakar to joined the discussions on the results of the BRT assessment. Both SAVi assessments demonstrate the socio-economic value of the projects for the country, and feature a simulation on the project’s potential to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, relative to business as usual scenarios or investments in non-sustainable infrastructure.
