The International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) has revised down its estimate of the subsidies the European Union members states provide to the biofuels sector.
Dr. Alfred Duda, former senior advisor responsible for the International Waters focal area of the Global Environment Facility (GEF), and Dr. Michael Paterson, recently retired senior scientist at Canada's renowned Experimental Lakes Area (ELA) in northwestern Ontario, have been appointed senior fellows by the International Institute for Sustainable Development.
The International Institute for Sustainable Development will help the Province of Manitoba develop its updated climate and green economy plan to address public concerns about the need to reduce emissions and prepare for climate impacts.
IISD's 2012-2013 annual report reflects the institute's focus on building capacity to accelerate the advancement of our work to meet goals and principles for sustainable development.
