"Volunteerism in Winnipeg increased to nearly 38 per cent in 2013 from 35 per cent in 2010, according to a new report from Peg, a project run by United Way Winnipeg and the International Institute for Sustainable Development, using data from Statistics Canada. The Peg report coincides with National Volunteer Week, which celebrates Canada’s 12.7 million volunteers."
