Grievance Mechanism – Dire Dawa
To submit a grievance related to the SUNCASA project in Dire Dawa, Ethiopia, please follow the instructions outlined below.
- Based on existing mechanism used by Hararghe Catholic Secretariate (HCS); developed by HCS Safeguard Specialist
- Free hotline/call line posted in public areas (kebele where people gather for various administrative purposes)-the hotline and additional information will be posted in a visible location
- Suggestion boxes placed in project locations visible to the project beneficiaries
- Grievance committee set up at HCS
- One member assigned to collect grievances and report them to the committee for further action and potential escalation to the appropriate level (SUNCASA MEL)
- Committee meets as needed
- Standardised template to documents any complaints received from the SUNCASA project participants/beneficiaries (template will be prepared/adopted from HCS)
- General safeguarding training for SUNCASA project team was provided by the HCS Safeguard Specialist
