Electricity Subsidy Reform Road Map in Viet Nam
The IISD Global Subsidies Initiative worked with UNDP-Viet Nam to lead a process of policy analysis and engagement on fossil fuel subsidy reform in Viet Nam since 2012.
The project was designed to assist in policy development and information-sharing around energy sector reform in Viet Nam. More recently, GSI, in collaboration with UNDP, formulated an in-depth Policy Recommendations Brief, which laid out an action plan for the energy sector and energy pricing reform in Viet Nam, concentrating on a) comprehensive energy sector reform; b) managing the impacts of reform; c) building support for reform.
